O esquema gratis, Edgewater Tam, e de Elizabeth McCarten; usei um novelo Brown Sheep Nature Spun Worsted and needles sizes 4 US (3.5 mm) and 8 US (5.0 mm).
This challenge was all about trying something new. A while back I found a pasta machine at a Salvation Army store, and this seemed like the perfect time to try my hand at making fresh pasta for the first time.
I followed the simple recipe, just flour and eggs, and then the step by step instrctions.

Hello!
Despite my long absence I didn't stop knitting and doing other things. A complicated start to this year of 2014 left me with the need to withdraw, but I hope to be back now.

A few weeks ago, my friend Ruth taught me how to dye yarn using food dyes. For the color to stick you need acidity. The Kool Aid drink mix packets contain both the food coloring and citric acid and so easy to use for beginners.
This was my first attempt at dyeing; I used Black Cherry and Ice Blue Raspberry Lemonade. I divided a ball of Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool (in the color Natural) in half.

In this last challenge we could revisit any of the previous ones from this year. The only one I missed was number 18-Shiny, Shiny. And so, since I had to decorate a paper ornament to decorate at work, I used glitter glue to color it. I think it turned out very festive. :)

The theme were the many holiday celebrations from this time of the year. I had plans to make some cute snowman ornaments using white pompoms, but since it wasn't working at all I went in search of another idea. And so I made a paper Christmas caravan that I found at the Paper Toy site.
