Esta semana o tema foi fazer algo que nos aqueca. Aqui, apesar de termos tido um Inverno muito estranho e menos severo, ainda esta tudo coberto de neve e bem frio. Assim, decidi fazer um cachecol a partir de uma camisola mais antiga. Separei-a em partes: frente, tras, mangas e gola; cortei a frente e verso ao meio no sentido do comprimento. A seguir abri as costuras das mangas e a da gola.
This week the theme was to make something to keep us warm. Here, although this Winter had been strange and less severe, everything is still covered in snow and still cold. So, I decided to make a scarf from an old sweater. I separated it in parts: front, back, sleeves and collar; I cut the front and back in half lengthwise. Then opened the sleeves and collar at the seams.
A seguir combinei todas as partes de modo a formar um rectangulo longo e duplo, cortando pedacos quando necessario, e cosi a maquina; dexei uma pequena abertura para virar do avesso, que fechei cosendo a mao.
Then I combined all the pieces to form a long double rectangle, cutting pieces as needed, and using a sewing machine sewed it together; I left a small opening to turn it inside out that I then sewn closed by hand.
E muito macio e quentinho.
It's very soft and warm.
