Pronto, estava feito. Veio comigo. :)
In these past few days we were in Kokomo, Indiana visiting family. In a trip to a flea market store I found a white tray with dividers that I really liked, and it was a bargain for just $2. When I turned it to see where it was made there it was "Made In Portugal". And that was it. It had to come with me. :)
Rosa Pomar! Ja o estive a folhear e ja o comecei a ler, estou a adorar!
The day we got back home there was an envelope sent by my father in our mailbox. And inside was this treasure: the book "
Malhas Portuguesas"
by Rosa Pomar! A book about the history and practice of knitting in Portugal that includes 20 patterns inspired by traditional techniques and designs. I have looked through it and I have started reading it and I love it! I am certain that most people that have an interest in knitting have no knowledge of the history and many techniques the book brings to light. The pictures and images are quite clear and easy to understand. I am happy to have my copy near me, a so very important work, that I have no doubt will help make known and preserve this part of our heritage and culture.
